Synopsis
THE ACTRESSES ALWAYS LIE is a scenic research that starts from the stereotype and the topics associated to the universe of the actress (what does an actress know to be an actress?), to use it as an excuse, to transcend it and to talk about the subjects that interest us as creators and as individuals (trade, gender, precariousness).
All the castings, auditions, courses, workshops that we have done throughout our life with the aim of being able to act as an actress have not served us for that, it is true, but with all this we have built this piece of contemporary theater.
Description
From the artistic universe of El Pollo Campero, Comidas Para Llevar
In this our second piece, we intend to continue investigating around these lines of work that interest us:
- Reflect on the fact of the stage and the conventional theatrical elements
- Exhaust the space possibilities of the scene
- To privilege the text of own creation elaborating texts of fiction from autobiographical texts
- To conjugate the language of the cabaret with the contemporary scenic languages (dance, theater, performance).
